Week 1 – The Emotional Landscape of New Parenthood
Explore the emotional shifts that often accompany the postpartum period—including hormonal changes, identity transitions, and the difference between baby blues and perinatal mood disorders. Learn how each partner may experience the transition differently, and how to recognize when extra support is needed.
Week 3 – Communication & Connection
Understand how stress affects communication and emotional connection. Learn how to express needs clearly, navigate changes in intimacy and roles, and stay emotionally attuned through moments of conflict or disconnection.
Week 5 – Boundaries, Visitors & Family Dynamics
Strengthen your couple bond while navigating outside relationships. This week offers practical tools for setting boundaries with visitors and extended family, managing expectations, and protecting your early postpartum space, all while building a support system.
Week 2 – Sleep, Stress, and the Reality of Newborn Life
Delve into the impact of broken sleep on mood, functioning, and relationships. Develop tools to cope with unpredictability, build a realistic sleep survival plan, and approach this season with flexibility and self-compassion.
Week 4 – Division of Labor, Expectations, and Accountability
Clarify roles and responsibilities around baby care and household management. Explore strategies for equitable division of labor and address the invisible workload that often goes unspoken—but deeply felt.
Week 6 – Practical Prep: What You Really Need for Baby
Cut through the noise of baby marketing and focus on what’s truly useful in the newborn stage. Discuss and demistify some of the practical bits of new parenthood, like how to be proactive about childcare.
